Who we are...

Victoria Crewe aka Mrs C
Married off in June 2010, Mrs C is a relatively new wife but one who clearly can’t shake off the bridal bug. An episode of mourning upon seeing the latest copy of Cosmo Bride on the shelves a few weeks after her own wedding pushed her in to making a decision, one that meant she would be able to purchase this glossy mag without her husband reaching for the divorce papers citing “psycho”. Mrs C thought about it long and hard. She loved weddings, she loved reading about weddings and even better, with a degree in English Literature she should really be able to write about weddings. What she needed though was a partner in crime, to bounce ideas off and get excited with her. She also needed somebody who was witty, creative and intelligent and furthermore, somebody who loves weddings too. Step forward Fran, aka Mrs G-to-be! Hurrah, a team was created and so with a mutual love of word play, the name Bride&chic was born.
Fran Edwards aka Mrs G
Still in the planning stages, but not for long, the big day is looming for Mrs G-to-be.October 2010 marks the transformation of Miss.E into Mrs.G, and the clock is ticking to put all those big day ideas into action.Taking on the task of transforming a rundown semi into an oasis of eclectic calm meant years of research into interior style and, unprepared for the wonderful world of weddings, she searched far and wide to do the same for her big day. Looking for the quirkier side of wedding style that would most reflect her personality. So many ideas, only one day! Unfortunately for her the groom appears to deffo be ‘The One’. So, with no more weddings on the horizon, what to do with the 10 foot tower of wedding mags and the half a million floral ideas stored in favourites? Onto the scene popped Mrs.C, only just wed at her own breathtakingly stylish nuptials and with the crazy notion of spreading the wedding word. Fresh from a gorgeous honeymoon chic enough to match her big day, she’s got the brains and definitely has the know how. This is so crazy it just might work.
Where we’re going...
Bride&chic is a work in progress. We feel that blogging is where it will start but what we hope to create is a haven for Mr and Mrs-to be’s where they can not only find advice on the latest trends but also soon be able to purchase the little bits and bobs that will make their day unique. With Mrs C buying credentials, ten years as a buyer in the rag trade and Mrs G-to-be’s exquisite eye for detail (exhibit 1, her achingly cool abode) between us we might just have something. Our aim is to be able to offer products that you won’t find at every other wedding, from favours to fascinators, bridemaid dresses to bouquets. We are currently sourcing new and exciting lines to be able to offer for sale and working closely with fabulous designers who are creating their own unique made to order products. We will also keep our beady eyes open for anything wedding related that catches our eye and we deem worthy of Bride&chic’s association. So this could be anything from a vintage photographer to an uber cool photobooth but something that would make your wedding memorable.
And that, my friends, was the news.
