Hang your Heart...
So, my first Valentine as a married old lady is fast approaching, and we've spent up pretty much for the next ten years what with the actual wedding and honeymoon and all that jazz. It seems to be a perfect Valentine for some DIY projects to show the hubby that he has a wife that loves him and that can show it in a very chiconomic style. What could possibly say this more than lots of paper related home made goodies (which I'm sure he is growing to love, whatever he may say!) Cue, trawl of the internet for DIY ideas, natch!
So here is here's one, ridiculously simple and which is also a good 'un as it can easily be used for wedding related decor, a lovely heart adorned wreath, spotted on Better Homes and Gardens |

Totally simple to make, you take a circle of card, cut out a ton of hearts and stick them all around your circle to cover all the card underneath. Stick a ribbon on to hang and there you go.
Here they've used tissue paper, but you could use anything you fancy; heartshape cloth, card, paper.
For the Valentines vibe hang it on the door for when your beloved arrives home, or decorate the chairs at a romantic home cooked meal.
If wanted to make some for your big day, you could change up the pinky colour scheme to one which matches your own wedding decor and you've got a fab way to decorate your venue, they'd look great hung from the ceiling or on the end of a pew for example.
So there you have it, simple, chiconomic and effective, ta da!xxxxxxxxxxxx |
