The Reception Venue: www.princealbertcamden.com
We hired The Prince Albert situated in the leafy backwaters of Camden. It offers a stunning restaurant room upstairs, a pub downstairs and a secluded beer garden with fairy lights. The decorations are amazing and the atmosphere is magic. I just can’t describe it, check out the pictures. The staff are extremely friendlyand the food is exquisite. The great thing about having a wedding reception in a restaurant is the choice of menus and the fact that you don’t have to pay for the room hire, staff, tables, chairs and all the extras like cutlery, napkins, flowers, decorations etc. You just pay for the food and drinks (there usually is a minimum spend but that shouldn’t be a problem on a big day like your wedding). |

Favours
I bought gorgeous handcrafted wooden Cork Bottle Stoppers from Ali’s House of Strings (www.alishouseofstring.co.uk). Place names: I printed the guests’ names on transparent labels and stuck them on brown paper luggage tags (ebay). |

Table Confetti
I used a heart shape cutter to cut out table confetti from a “London A-to-Z” book.

First Dance and Music
We love Cuban music so we took salsa lessons for our first dance (with Raul: mambo4every1@aol.com). We hired a great Cuban band (www.cubancombination.com), they played some classic Cuban music which created a great atmosphere and really got people dancing.

Last but not least: Photography
Julie Kim is a truly amazing wedding photographer and a great person to work with. I feel so lucky to have met her and I cannot recommend her enough. Her pictures speak for themselves. The choice of photographer is crucial so take your time to hire someone whose work you love and who you can trust on the day. Once the big day is over, you are left with your marriage, great memories and PHOTOS, so make sure they are great, not good, great! Whenever I look at my wedding pictures I am reliving the wedding day all over again. Julie Kim is able to capture emotions and special moments in such a natural, engaging way, this is priceless! www.juliekimphotography.com.
