I was introduced to my next blog subject last year by a friend of mine who has a decidedly shabby chic style house which looks like it had been filled with a multitude of marche aux puces finds from her latest trip to Paris.
However, this was not the case as most of these little beauties were actually bought from a website specialising in vintage boudoir style décor called Melody Maison based in Doncaster in fact. So not Paris then.
I was amazed by the reasonable prices of the furniture, the fact that they’d managed to slip under my house décor obsession radar and also since becoming a bride to be that they had not popped up on any of my “wedding stuff” google searches.
Anyway, I thought I’d revisit them to see if they still had something to offer for any new brides to be and I am pleased to say that they have. Ok so the vintage chic wedding is not exactly breaking new ground in the wedding world but it is pretty and timeless and in my opinion set to become a classic British wedding style.

| So first of all, I saw these decidedly vintage looking candelabras which would make great centrepieces surrounded by a few shabby chic votives and tea lights. They are priced from £16.95 so not much more than hiring them but of course this way you can sell them on ebay when your big day has come and gone! |

 |
| |
| Similarly, these 30cm centre table mirrors are just £5.25 which again is probably a little more than hiring but these will have a great sell on value and are probably one of the most commonly used table decorations around. |

| The bird cage above (£25.95) could be used as a card postbox type thing or filled with fresh flowers for a beautiful centrepiece and the cake stand on the right is less than £40 but would be a great one to keep in your dining room. |

| These gem style place name holders are just £7.95 for four so again great value and then I thought this cute memo board would make a really unique table plan and again can be taken home after for the kitchen..and its only £10.95! |

| Or for another unique table plan idea you could put the list for each table in a frame and group them on a table for a really vintage but effortless look and at £7.95 each these are really great value or alternatively hang a few of these three frame pieces on the wall as shown on the left (£13.95). |

Finally, I adore these hanging tea light holders, both £13.95, which would look great in a marquee/ garden party setting as the sun goes down.
Hopefully you have seen some inspiration here for your wedding but visit their website for even more vintage French flea market style finds... although try not to get side tracked by the furniture... I could have easily fallen for this little bird design chest of drawers on the left for my boudoir...and this gorgeous display cabinet on the right which I would purchase, line with a vintage look Cole & Son wallpaper and fill with my unborn baby girls tutus and home spun blankets.. that's if I had been side tracked that is. Which I haven't. No..... |

Off now to do some really important research....
