A Modern New York Wedding- Part 1
So you're probably looking out of the window this *July* morning and thinking what the hell happened to summer? Well, because we're nice like that we thought we'd brighten the day with this very sweet, romantic outdoor Central Park ceremony followed by a super cool Hudson Hotel penthouse reception wedding in New York, New York. The fresh and contemporary images were taken by their photographer Minnow Park, any NY brides-to-be should check him out!
Frances and Sam were married in May this year at Cherry Hill in Central Park, the bride wore a beautiful Kula Tsurdiu dress {a designer we have looked at before here} from The White Closet in Didsbury which is shorter at the front, perfect for showing off those killer Jimmy Choo heels and really befitting of this modern, contemporary wedding. Frances chose my favourite cream peonies and roses for her beautiful bouquet with the bridemaids choosing roses and calla lilies. The boutonniers were also calla lilies but interspersed with a little ivy which was complemented by ivy at the reception venue {Flowers by Sheilds Warendorff NYC} .
Sam's chic suit was bespoke from Richard Smith Tailor in Manchester and the gorgeous bridesmaids dresses were Darcy Drape from French Connection {FC fast becoming the maids dress of choice methinks, and rightly so!}. They wore vintage inspired handmade hair clips from knitwit design and the uber cute flowergirl Annie who is Sam and Frances's daughter wore a cute little Monsoon dress finished off by a flower halo, little angel.
And what NY wedding would be complete without an awesome menu? I am drooling over the Hudsons signature lobster, crab and shrimp seafood cocktail, antipasti and what else but Magnolia Bakery cupcakes? Some late night Kobe Beef sliders were supplied for the evening... is it lunchtime yet?!
So without further ado, lets look at Part One of this gorgeous wedding, thank you to Frances and Sam for sharing their special day and of course to Minnow Park for allowing us to use his images {and for having the best name ever! :)} |
