Inspiration Mexicana!

So this week I have been largely inspired by Cinco de Mayo {that's the Fifth of May to you and I}, a festival of sorts which is celebrated mainly in the US and Mexico by embracing Mexican music, food and culture. And man, do I love Mexican food.

For weddings though, this is a great theme as not only do you have the basis for a great party {tequila, dancing and fajitas..what more do you need!} but the colours offer a feast for the eyes, an antithesis to the soft, muted, vintage looks we see so often in weddings today.

Luckily we have some Cinco de Mayo inspiration for you this morning submitted to us via Two Bright Lights by Mackenzie Marketing & Design from over the pond showing how as a theme it can result in a young, fresh and fun wedding... arriba! arriba!

The more I look at these images the more I love it, the Latino typography, the vintage Mexican bottles, distressed wood and handcrafted fabrics but most of all the use of bold, beautiful, clashing colour.

xx
