Love and Marriage: They really do go together...

So I couldn't really not mention that Bride and Chic is not the only one celebrating it's first year. This weekend also marked the end of one whole year of married life for me and Mr.G, and we marked it with a little Welsh weekend away. Now we've been together for a loooong time, we were together when Steps did the rounds the first time, so to call ourselves 'newly weds' seems a bit like false advertising. However I've got to be honest and say that being married feels just... well... different. Don't know why, but it does. We both thought that it would really be just a natural progression of our relationship, the wedding would be nice to have all our family and friends having a good old knees up to say 'Go You Guys!', and then we'd just slip into marriage and it would be the same as it was before. But that's not the case, it's brought us closer, it's made us nicer to each other. There's a lot more hand holding and smooching going on, (again more like we were the first time Steps were around) and, well,l we kind of are like newly weds. Don't get me wrong, there's still the nights on the sofa, sitting two feet apart but in different worlds on our iphones and ipads, and arguments about who should clean the bathroom, but still we feel different, in the best possible way. It seems marriage, for us, works. Hope it does for you guys too...xxxxxx
