Antler Love...
| So you have probably guessed by now that I get these little micro trend obsessions for the home {chevrons anyone?} and instantly in my head it also becomes a wedding theme. At the moment I am loving the painted antler, so navajo, so rustic yet so modern.. what's not to love? I can't believe it's taken me until now to see that this can be a great little piece of decor for your big day too, like with most themes you can go as subtle or as in-your-face as you like and so I have coallated a few pretty images to show how it can be oh so perfect for your wedding. |

| {Love the gold touch above, very pretty! It could just as easily work with driftwood if you are having a beach or destination wedding. Top pic | bottom pic} |

| {before antlers have been seen as very rustic and quite masculine in terms of decor but by adding flowers and bright colours it is instantly softened. I also adore the use of the bell jar here on the bottom left. top pic right pic} |

| {of course the beauty of a painted antler is that is can be coloured to match your theme, stripes, chevrons, aztec, colour pop, muted pastels. left pic, top pic, bottom pic} |

| {by adding flowers see how the rustic, raw edge of the antler is feminised, perfect for a wedding, right image. The antler also makes a great picture prop, left pic} |

| {Is this antler headress too much?! Of course but it's McQueen so therefore awesome! If you really wanted then you could bring the antler theme through to your stationery or here as a cake topper.. how good would a couple of painted antlers look on the top of a rustic cheese layer cake? Yes.} |
| {I love how is has been used discreetly as a table number holder in these wonderful table scapes, sitting perfectly with the mismatched glass and wild flowers.} |
{Lastly, if all else fails and the antler is just a step to far for your wedding tiara then it can always become the ubiquitous photo booth prop... it's the new moustache don't you know?!}
So how about it? Do you think the moose should be set loose? Is it time for taxidermy at todays weddings? I'm firmly in the yes camp, watch this space for a DIY post on painting antlers... hopefully.
